Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Manager of Communications, the Physical Security Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of a multi-site, physical security access control environment. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge in enterprise grade physical security access control systems, servers, and solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining physical security hardware, servers, software, and end point clients in an enterprise grade, large scale, multi-site network across multiple geographic locations.

  • Maintain proprietary physical security infrastructure technologies, door and gate controls, intercoms, cameras, and related technologies.

  • Recommend technologies of end-of-life end of support devices and maintain managed services.

  • Maintain various technologies and vendor platforms which include but are not limited to Dell servers, VMware, Meraki technologies, Linux and Windows OS servers and end point systems.

  • Coordinate with cross-disciplined team members, meet with department leads, vendors, and contractors to identify and resolve issues.

  • Development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation.

  • Maintain electronic badge inventory to ensure non duplication of entries, card types, permissions, and support Safety department accordingly.

  • Ensure enterprise stability by monitoring hardware platforms such as performance and operational status.

  • Maintain a working relationship with Level-1 and Level-2 Technical Support staff to ensure service issues are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Secondary responsibilities include but not limited to help design, implement, and maintain Data Center infrastructure including, but not limited to power units, cooling units, fire suppression, and structured cabling working with the Sr Network Administrator in datacenter responsibilities.

  • Assist Communications Administrator as required, basic understanding of Cisco communication technologies including Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Contact Center Express, and Jabber.

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
